About Nikki
Certified Grief Coach | Eastbourne, East Sussex
I didn't become a grief coach because I read about it in a book.
I became a grief coach because grief became my teacher.
Over the past decade, I've walked through the loss of my dad, my brother, my grandad, a miscarriage, and a dear friend.
And through it all, I learned something profound: Grief isn't something we "get over" - it's something we learn to carry with us.
That journey - from being shattered by loss to learning how to live alongside it - is what brought me here.
From Performing Arts to Grief Coaching
For over 20 years, I worked in the performing arts industry - a career that taught me how to hold space for deep emotion, be present with discomfort, and support people through transformation.
But after years of navigating my own grief and witnessing how isolating it can be, I knew I was being called to something different.
In 2024, I trained as a Certified Grief Coach and Transformational Life Coach.
In 2025 I launched New Future Life Coaching and with it, The Grief Garden a monthly grief circle here in Eastbourne a supportive gathering for those living with loss.
2026 has already seen the launch of The Grief Cafe in partnership with Eastbourne Crematorium, another space for individuals to share their own experiences of the grieving process.
I am proud to have opened these spaces where grief and hope can coexist.

Why My Work Is Different:
I don't just understand grief professionally, I've lived it.
I know what it's like to:
→ Function perfectly in public while falling apart in private
→ Feel like you're supposed to be "over it" when you're not
→ Question who you are after loss changes everything
→ Search for support that doesn't rush you or pathologize your grief
That lived experience, combined with professional training, allows me to meet you exactly where you are, not where the world thinks you "should" be.
How I support you with The SAFE Method
All of my work is guided by The New Future Pathway and The SAFE Method - a gentle framework I developed to help people navigate grief without rushing, fixing, or forcing anything.
S – Soften: Create space to pause, breathe, and ease the pressure
A – Acknowledge & Anchor: Notice what's present and find steady ground
F – Feel & Flow: Allow emotions to move naturally, without judgment
E – Emerge: Step forward when you're ready, carrying your grief differently
This isn't about "moving on." It's about learning to live fully alongside your grief, with clarity, compassion and courage.
Who I help & how I can support you:
Who do I help?
I work primarily with individuals navigating:
Loss of a person: Bereavement, death of a loved one
or anticipatory grief
Loss of identity: After relationship endings, job loss, diagnosis, or major life transitions
Loss of the expected future: When life looks different than you thought it would If you're functioning on the outside but struggling in private
If you're questioning who you are now, If you're tired of being told to "move on,"
You're in the right place.

A little more about me...
When I'm not holding space for grief, you'll find me:
→ Walking along Eastbourne beach (my favorite place to process life) → Spending time with my son, who reminds me daily why hope matters
→ Choreographing & performing for local theatre groups (the performing arts will always be part of me)
→ Drinking too much tea while enjoying a good book
I live in Eastbourne with my family, and I'm deeply grateful to call this community home.
If you are navigating loss and need support that doesn't rush you, fix you, or expect you to be anywhere other than where you are, then I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
Not sure where to start? Send me a message and we can talk about what support might feel right for you.
